Phimosis (Inability To Retract Foreskin)

Phimosis (inability to retract foreskin) and having redundant (excessive) foreskin are common problems for men who are uncircumcised. Difficulty with retracting foreskin typically occurs later on in life and can be problematic for various reasons. Patients with these conditions are often candidates for circumcision (removal of the foreskin). This is an outpatient procedure and can either be performed in the office with local and nitrous anesthesia or in the operating room with the patient asleep.
