Peripheral Nerve Evaluation (PNE)

Peripheral nerve evaluation is performed on our patients (mostly female) that have urinary incontinence or retention of urine that is not adequately treated with oral medications. This evaluation is performed in the office and is used as a diagnostic tool to determine if the patient would benefit from sacral neuromodulation (Interstim) which is sometimes referred to as a “bladder pacemaker”.
