Bladder Cancer

Bladder cancer is a rare form of cancer of the lining of the bladder and the inside of the kidneys. Though it is rare, it is a common type of cancer diagnosed and treated by urologists. The most common presenting symptom is visible blood in the urine. Tobacco use is the leading risk factor for development of bladder cancer. Fortunately, the vast majority of bladder cancers are diagnosed at an early stage and are very treatable without any major operations or radiation treatment.
