Erectile dysfunction or ED becomes more common with each year of age in men. Though more commonly presenting in men 50 years of age and older, ED can develop in younger men for a number of reasons. ED is really defined as an inability to develop and maintain an erection that is satisfactory for sexual intercourse. Fortunately, most ED can be effectively treated with oral medications alone. The medications used to treat ED are now available in their generic form and are much more affordable for our patients then they were when they were initially introduced. When oral medications are not effective, Dr. Gibson offers patient administered injectable medications as well as surgically implanted penile prosthesis devices.
