Prostate Biopsy

Prostate biopsy is performed in the office and is typically recommended because of elevated PSA or abnormal prostate exam. We also use prostate biopsy to confirm and follow prostate cancers in men that can be safely managed without requiring more invasive interventions. This is performed in the office using an ultrasound machine. This procedure takes less than 10 minutes and patient comfort is achieved with local and nitrous anesthesia.
