Request for permanent sterilization is a common request by many of our male patients. The benefits of in office male sterilization (vasectomy) is that the procedure is performed in the office without the need for general anesthesia. Vasectomy is a safe and very effective procedure with very little downtime for the patient. Vasectomy has no effect on circulating hormone (testosterone) levels and does not cause any issues with sex drive (libido) or ability to achieve and maintain erections. Dr. Gibson has performed hundreds of these procedures in his career and does so in a manner that is amenable for surgical reversal should the patient desire.
