Peyronie’s Disease

Peyronie’s (pay-roe-NEEZ) disease, or curvature of the penis with erection, is caused by a fibrous plaque in the penis that can lead to pain with erection and difficulty with penile penetration during intercourse. Most of the time Peyronie’s disease can be managed with observation alone. In patients with whom penile curvature prevents penetration, infertility or is very uncomfortable for the patient, there are both surgical and non-surgical treatment options.
